The Urdu Bracket Checker reads your text and confirms that every opening bracket has a matching closing bracket in the correct order. A single missing or extra bracket can change the meaning of a sentence or break a piece of code, and it is easy to miss by eye in long Urdu text.

How to Check Brackets in Urdu Text

1. Paste your Urdu text. Add your sentence, paragraph, or code snippet to the box. The direction switches on its own for right-to-left Urdu.
2. Read the status. The checker runs as you type and shows Balanced or Not balanced at once.
3. Turn on extra brackets if needed. Check the box to also test Urdu and Arabic angle and ornate brackets.

Which Brackets the Tool Checks

By default the checker tests the three pairs used most often: round brackets ( and ), square brackets [ and ], and curly brackets { and }. These cover everyday writing, references, and code.

Turn on the extra option to also check Urdu and Arabic brackets. This adds angle brackets, the guillemets « and », and the ornate parentheses ﴾ and ﴿ that often frame Quranic verses. Quotation marks are not treated as brackets, since a straight quote uses the same character to open and close.

How the Bracket Check Works

The tool reads your text from start to finish and keeps a running list of open brackets. Each time it meets an opening bracket, it adds it to the list. Each time it meets a closing bracket, it checks the most recent open bracket to see if the two match.

If they match, the pair is complete and the tool moves on. If they do not match, or if a closing bracket appears with nothing open, the tool records a problem with its position. Any brackets still open at the end are also flagged. This method catches both missing brackets and wrong nesting, such as a square bracket closed by a curly one.

Reading Your Bracket Results

The Status card is the headline: Balanced means every bracket has a correct partner, while Not balanced means at least one problem exists. The count cards show how many opening and closing brackets of each type your text holds, so you can spot an imbalance directly.

The problem list names each issue and its position, counted in characters from the start. An unmatched opening bracket has no partner later, an unmatched closing bracket has none before it, and a mismatch is a pair of the wrong types. Fix the first problem and recheck, since one early error can affect the rest.

Brackets in Right-to-Left Urdu Text

Brackets can look confusing in Urdu because the screen mirrors them. In right-to-left text, an opening round bracket is drawn on the right and its closing partner on the left, which is the reverse of English. This is only a display effect and does not change which character is the opener.

The checker works on the stored order of characters, not the mirrored look on screen. That means it judges balance correctly even when Urdu and English sit in the same line. If a bracket seems wrong to the eye but the tool says balanced, the display is simply flipping the shapes for you.

Common Bracket Mistakes to Avoid in Urdu

The most frequent error is a forgotten closing bracket. You open a parenthesis to add a note, get pulled into the sentence, and never close it. The checker catches this at once and points to the opening bracket that is still waiting.

Wrong nesting is the next trap. A square bracket closed by a curly one looks fine at a glance but breaks the structure, especially in code or references. Mixed Urdu and English can hide the problem, since the two scripts sit on the same line and the shapes flip in right-to-left text.

A third mistake is a stray closing bracket left over from an edit. When you delete part of a sentence, its opening bracket can go while the closing one stays. Run the text through the checker after heavy editing, fix the first flagged spot, and recheck until the status reads balanced.

Accuracy and Limits of the Checker

The check is deterministic. The same text with the same setting always gives the same result. The tool checks bracket balance only. It does not judge whether a bracket belongs in a sentence, and it does not change your text.

Good to know: the tool treats every bracket character as structural, even one inside a web link or a smiley like :). If your text mixes such cases, read the flagged positions in context before you edit. Quotation marks are not checked, since they are not true bracket pairs.
