How the Decimal Becomes Paisa

Rounding or Trimming

If the amount has more than two decimal places, those extra digits are smaller than a paisa. With rounding on, the converter rounds to the nearest paisa, so 1234.567 becomes 57 paisa. With rounding off, it trims the extra digits, so the same amount becomes 56 paisa. Either way, the converter tells you when the paisa was changed.
