The Urdu Decimal Formatter presents a decimal number so it looks right in Urdu. It writes the digits in Urdu numerals, groups the whole part with commas, and can fix the number of decimal places. The result is a clean value for a price, a measurement, or a table in Urdu.

How to Format a Number

1. Type your number. Enter a whole number or a decimal.
2. Read the formatted value. The Urdu digits, grouping, and decimals appear at once.

Urdu Digits

The formatter can write the figures in Urdu digits, from ۰ to ۹, which look consistent inside Urdu text. Turn the option off to keep the standard 0 to 9 digits.

South Asian and International Grouping

By default the whole part is grouped the South Asian way, with the last three digits together and the rest in twos, giving ۱۲,۳۴,۵۶۷. The international option groups in threes instead, giving 1,234,567, which some readers prefer.

Fixing the Decimal Places

With the fix option on, the number is shown to two decimal places, so 1234.5 becomes 1234.50 and a long decimal is rounded. Turn it off to keep the decimals exactly as you entered them.

Accuracy and Limits

The formatter is deterministic, so the same number and options always give the same result. It formats the display and does not change the value, except that fixing decimals rounds to two places. Very large numbers may reach the limit of exact decimals in the browser.
