How to Validate an Amount

1. Enter the amount. Type it as figures, with grouping commas or a Rs prefix if you like.
2. Read the verdict. The validator says whether the amount is valid and lists any findings.

4. Copy or download. Copy the result, or save it as a text file.

The Checks It Runs

The validator looks for a valid number, a single digit system, at most two decimal places for the paisa, and no stray minus sign on a financial amount. It flags mixed Urdu and English digits, a bad number, and a negative value, so you can fix the amount before you use it.

The Clean Version

When the amount reads as a number, the validator shows a clean version, grouped the South Asian way, split into rupees and paisa, and written in Urdu words. This gives you a correct form to copy in place of the one you checked.

Strict Paisa Checking

With strict checking on, the validator warns whenever there are more than two decimal places, since a rupee has only one hundred paisa. With it off, extra decimals are simply rounded to two places in the clean version.
