What the Urdu Ratio Calculator Does

The Urdu Ratio Calculator reduces a ratio to its lowest terms. You enter two parts, and it finds the largest number that divides both and gives the simplest ratio. It also shows the share each part is of the whole, as a percentage, in Urdu.

A ratio compares two amounts, and simplifying it makes the comparison easier to read.

Everything runs on your own device. Your figures are never uploaded or stored, so they stay private while you calculate.

How to Simplify a Ratio

  1. Enter the first part. Type the first amount.
  2. Enter the second part. Type the second amount.
  3. Read the ratio. The simplest form and the shares appear in Urdu.
  4. Copy or download. Copy the result, or save it as a text file.
Tip: A ratio of 8 to 12 simplifies to 2 to 3.

How the Ratio Is Reduced

The calculator finds the greatest common divisor, the largest number that divides both parts exactly, and divides both by it. So for 8 and 12 the greatest common divisor is 4, and dividing both by 4 gives 2 to 3.

Parts and Shares

Each part can be shown as a share of the whole. For 2 to 3, the whole is five parts, so the first is two fifths, or 40 percent, and the second is three fifths, or 60 percent. This is useful for splitting an amount.

The Urdu Result

The ratio is read in Urdu with the parts spelled out and the word تناسب for ratio. So 2 to 3 reads as دو اور تین کا تناسب.

Accuracy and Limits

The calculator is deterministic, so the same parts always give the same ratio. It reduces whole number parts to lowest terms and shows the shares as percentages, rounded to two decimals. Both parts should be whole numbers for an exact ratio.

Good to know: the Urdu words display best with an Urdu Nastaliq font.

Your Data Stays Private

The calculator runs fully in your browser with standard web technology. Your figures are not uploaded or stored, and they are not sent to any analytics service. Only your star rating is sent, to record the tool’s rating. When you close the page, your input is gone.
