Quick Answer

The Roman Urdu Text Compare Tool checks two texts against each other. It tells you whether they are identical, gives a similarity percentage, and counts the lines that match, were added, or were removed, along with the word totals for each side. It is a summary view; for a line-by-line highlight, use the Difference Checker. Everything runs in your browser.

What the Roman Urdu Text Compare Tool Does

The Roman Urdu Text Compare Tool puts two pieces of text side by side and reports how they relate. It first tells you the simplest fact, whether they are exactly the same, and then gives a similarity percentage and a short summary of what changed.

This is the quick way to answer a common question: are these two versions the same, and if not, how far apart are they? You get numbers you can act on, without reading both texts line by line.

Everything runs on your own device. Your texts are never uploaded or stored, so they stay private while you compare them.

    How to Compare Two Texts

    1. Paste the first text. Put your original or version A in the first box.
    2. Paste the second text. Put the other version, B, in the second box.
    3. Choose options. Ignore spacing by default, and ignore case if you wish.
    4. Read the summary. See whether they match, the similarity, and the line counts.
    5. Copy the report. Copy or download the summary as text.
Tip: Ye tool ek quick summary deta hai. Agar aap har line ka exact farq rang ke saath dekhna chahte hain to Difference Checker istemal karein.

    The Similarity Percentage

The similarity percentage is a single number that sums up how alike the two texts are. It is based on the words the two texts share in the same order, compared with their total words. A score of one hundred percent means the texts match under the options you chose; a lower score means more has changed.

Use it as a guide rather than an exact measure. It is most useful for spotting whether a change is small, such as a fixed typo, or large, such as a rewritten paragraph.

    Lines Added, Removed, and Shared

The summary breaks the comparison into lines. Shared lines appear in both texts. Removed lines are in the first text but not the second. Added lines are in the second text but not the first. Together these tell you where the two versions differ.

Yaad rahe: Ek line mein chhoti si tabdeeli bhi use removed aur added dono mein gin sakti hai, kyunki purani line hat kar nayi line aa jati hai.

    Ignore Case and Spacing

Two options control how strict the comparison is. Ignoring spacing means extra spaces on a line do not count as a difference, which is usually what you want. Ignoring case means a capital letter and a small letter are treated as the same, so a change only in capitalization is not flagged.

Turn these off when you need an exact match, for example when spacing or capitalization matters for your purpose.

    Who Uses This Compare Tool

Writers use it to check how much a draft changed between versions. Students use it to compare their work with a corrected copy. Editors use it to confirm whether two files are the same before publishing.

Because it is free and needs no account, it fits neatly into a review routine. Many people compare here first, then open the Difference Checker to see the exact changes.

    Compare vs Difference Checker

The Compare Tool gives you the headline: are they the same, how similar, and how many lines changed. The Difference Checker shows the detail: a line-by-line view with additions and removals highlighted. Start here for the summary, then switch to the checker when you need to see exactly what moved.

Good to know: both tools use the same underlying comparison, so their results agree; they simply present it differently.

    Accuracy and Limits

The tool is deterministic, so the same two texts and options always give the same summary. It compares text as written and does not understand meaning, so two different wordings with the same sense will still show as different. Very large texts are compared up to a sensible limit for speed, and the tool notes when that limit applies.

Good to know: the similarity score is a guide based on shared words in order. It is not a formal edit-distance measure.

    Privacy and Data Processing

The tool runs fully in your browser with standard web technology. Your texts are not uploaded or stored, and they are not sent to any analytics service. Only your star rating is sent, to record the tool’s rating. When you close the page, your text is gone.
