What the Urdu Percentage Change Calculator Does

The Urdu Percentage Change Calculator works out how much a value has changed, as a percentage, from an old value to a new one. It tells you whether the change is an increase or a decrease, and shows the difference, all in Urdu.

Percentage change is used for prices, populations, marks, and any figure that goes up or down over time.

Everything runs on your own device. Your figures are never uploaded or stored, so they stay private while you calculate.

How to Work Out a Change

  1. Enter the old value. Type the starting value.
  2. Enter the new value. Type the value it changed to.
  3. Read the change. The percentage change appears in Urdu, as an increase or a decrease.
  4. Copy or download. Copy the result, or save it as a text file.
Tip: The change is always measured against the old value.

The Change Formula

The percentage change is the difference between the values, divided by the old value, times one hundred. So from 2000 to 2500 the difference is 500, and 500 divided by 2000, times 100, is a 25 percent increase.

Increase and Decrease

When the new value is higher, the change is an increase, shown with the word اضافہ. When it is lower, the change is a decrease, shown with the word کمی. If the values are equal, there is no change.

The Urdu Result

The change is written in Urdu words and ends with فیصد, after the word for increase or decrease. So a 25 percent rise reads as اضافہ: پچیس فیصد.

Who Uses This Calculator

Shoppers use it for price rises and falls. Students use it for changes in marks. Anyone comparing two values uses it to see the change in Urdu.

Accuracy and Limits

The calculator is deterministic, so the same values always give the same change. It measures the change against the old value and rounds to two decimals. If the old value is zero, a percentage change cannot be worked out.

Good to know: the Urdu words display best with an Urdu Nastaliq font.

Your Data Stays Private

The calculator runs fully in your browser with standard web technology. Your figures are not uploaded or stored, and they are not sent to any analytics service. Only your star rating is sent, to record the tool’s rating. When you close the page, your input is gone.
