The Urdu Currency Number-to-Words Generator converts many rupee amounts into Urdu words at the same time. You put one amount on each line, and it writes every one in the lakh and crore system, adding the Urdu word for rupees and, where there is a decimal, the word for paisa.

How to Convert a List

1. Enter your amounts. Put one amount on each line.
2. Read the words. Each amount is written in Urdu on its own line.
3. Choose the style. Show each amount before its words, and add صرف if you wish.
4. Copy or download. Copy the whole list, or save it as a text file.

Working with Lists

The generator reads each line as one amount, so the order of your list is kept. Blank lines are skipped. This makes it easy to prepare a price list, a set of invoices, or a table of figures in Urdu words all at once.

The Lakh and Crore System

Each amount is spelled using the South Asian system of thousand, lakh, crore, and arab, the standard used in Urdu. So 1,234,567 rupees is written as بارہ لاکھ چونتیس ہزار پانچ سو سڑسٹھ روپے.

The Options

You can show each amount before its words, which keeps the figures and words side by side for checking. You can also add صرف, the safe word meaning only, at the start of each line, which suits cheques and formal lists.

Accuracy and Limits

The generator is deterministic, so the same list always gives the same words. It reads one amount per line and uses the lakh and crore system, with paisa to two decimal places. It converts figures to Urdu words; it does not add prices together beyond the total it shows.
