What the Urdu Sentence Position Finder Does

The Urdu Sentence Position Finder gives every sentence a number and lets you jump to any one by that number. Type a position, and the tool shows that exact sentence on its own.

It also works the other way. Type a word or phrase, and the tool tells you which sentences contain it, by number. A full numbered list of the text stays on screen, so you always know where you are.

Everything runs on your own device. Your text is never uploaded or stored, so it is safe for drafts and private notes.

How to Find a Sentence in Urdu

1. Paste your Urdu text. Add the full piece to the box. The direction switches on its own for right-to-left Urdu.
2. Enter a position. Type a sentence number to show that sentence on its own.
3. Or search. Type a word to see which sentences contain it, listed by number.
4. Copy if needed. Use Copy Shown Sentence to place the picked sentence on your clipboard.

How Positions Are Assigned

The tool splits your text into sentences at each ending mark, treating the Urdu full stop, question mark, exclamation mark, and the Latin period as endings. It numbers them in order from the top, so the first sentence is position one, the next is position two, and so on.

When you enter a number, the tool returns the sentence at that position, and marks it in the full list. If the number is larger than the count of sentences, the tool tells you so, rather than showing the wrong line.

Reading Your Results

The total sentences card shows how many the tool found. The position shown is the number you picked, and words at position counts the words in that sentence.

When you search, the search matches card shows how many sentences contain your word. The picked sentence appears in its own box, and the list below marks it, so you can see it in the flow of the whole text.

Finding a Sentence by Word

Searching by word is useful when you remember what a sentence says but not where it sits. Type a distinctive word, and the tool lists every sentence that holds it, each by its number, with the word marked.

The ignore case option treats English text the same whether capital or small, so a search still matches. Urdu has no case, so this affects Latin words in a mixed document. A short, exact search term gives the cleanest set of matches.

The result is deterministic. The same text with the same inputs always returns the same sentence. The tool locates sentences only. It does not change your text or reorder it.

Good to know: the split relies on end punctuation, so a position matches this split, not the numbering in another app that may count differently. A decimal point or an abbreviation that uses a full stop can shift the count. Search matches on the exact characters you type.
