How to Use It

1. Read the table. See each Urdu digit with its details.
2. Choose the columns. Turn the English value and the Urdu name on or off.
3. Click a digit. It is copied and added to the tray.

The Urdu Digits

The Urdu digits run from the digit for zero to the digit for nine, each with its own shape. The table gives the Urdu name for each, from the word for one to the word for nine, so you can read a number aloud or match a digit to its value.

Two Digit Sets

Urdu uses the extended Arabic-Indic digits. There is also an older set, the plain Arabic-Indic digits used in Arabic, and several digits share a shape between the two sets. They are different code points, though, which matters for search and sorting, so the table gives the exact Urdu code points.

Copying a Digit

Click any digit in the table to copy it straight to your clipboard and add it to the tray. The tray lets you collect several digits and copy them together, which is handy when you are building a number and do not have an Urdu keyboard.

Good to know: to turn digits between English and Urdu in running text, a digit converter is the better fit.
