What the Urdu Sentence Length Analyzer Does

The Urdu Sentence Length Analyzer looks at each sentence in your text and reports its length. It lists every sentence in order, with a word count and a bar that shows its size next to the others.

This sentence by sentence view makes uneven writing easy to see. One sentence that towers over the rest stands out at once, and a run of very short ones is just as clear. The summary adds the average, the shortest, and the longest for the whole text.

Everything runs on your own device. Your text is never uploaded or stored, so it is safe for drafts and private notes.

How to Analyze Sentence Lengths in Urdu

  1. Paste your Urdu text. Add the full piece to the box. The direction switches on its own for right-to-left Urdu.
  2. Read the list. Each sentence appears in order with its length and a bar.
  3. Choose a measure. Length by words or by characters, whichever suits your goal.
  4. Act on the outliers. Split a sentence marked as long, or join very short ones.
ٹول ہر جملے کو الگ الگ ماپتا ہے اور اسے اس کے الفاظ کی تعداد اور ایک بار کے ساتھ ترتیب سے دکھاتا ہے۔ ساتھ ہی اوسط، سب سے چھوٹا اور سب سے بڑا جملہ بھی بتاتا ہے۔

How Each Length Is Measured

The tool splits your text into sentences at each ending mark, treating the Urdu full stop, question mark, exclamation mark, and the Latin period as endings. It counts the words in each, where a word is a run of letters or numbers, and it can measure by characters instead.

The longest sentence sets the full length of the bar, and every other sentence is drawn to scale beside it. A sentence that runs well past the average is marked, so the ones that may need a split are easy to catch.

Reading Your Results

The sentences card counts the pieces the tool found. The average words gives a sense of a typical sentence, while the shortest and longest mark the range.

In the list, each row shows a sentence, its length, and a bar. A marked bar means the sentence is well above the average and may be worth splitting. Reading down the list, you can feel the rhythm of your writing and see where it breaks.

A Quick Worked Example

The result comes from the same functions the tool uses, so the example reflects real behaviour. Press Load Example to try it in the box yourself.

Balancing Sentence Lengths

Even sentences make a passage calm and easy to read. When most of your sentences sit near the average, the reader moves smoothly from one to the next. A single very long sentence breaks that flow and asks the reader to hold too much at once.

Use the list to find that sentence and split it at a natural point, where one idea ends and another begins. Very short sentences can be joined when they belong together. The goal is not identical lengths, but a comfortable range with a little variety for rhythm.

Analyzer or Distribution View

This analyzer shows each sentence on its own, which is ideal when you want to find and fix a specific line. You see the exact sentence, its length, and where it sits in the order.

When you care about the overall shape rather than each line, the distribution view groups sentences into length bands and draws a histogram. Use this analyzer to act on single sentences, and the distribution tool to judge the spread of a whole document at a glance.

Who Uses This Urdu Tool

Editors find the one heavy sentence that slows a passage. Students check that their sentences are a fair size. Writers keep sentences easy to read.

Teachers review structure with a clear list, and translators compare a rendered sentence against the source length. The tool reads mixed Urdu and English, so a bilingual piece is analyzed in one pass.

Catching a Run-on Sentence

A run-on sentence is one that keeps going past the point where it should stop. It joins several ideas with connectors and commas until the reader loses the thread. In the list, a run-on shows up as a bar that stretches far past the rest, usually with the long mark set.

The fix is to find where one idea ends and the next begins, then place a full stop there. One long line becomes two clear sentences, each carrying a single idea. After the edit, paste the text back and check the list again. The marked bar should be gone, and the new sentences should sit closer to the average length.

رن آن جملہ وہ ہوتا ہے جو رکنے کے مقام سے آگے بڑھتا چلا جائے۔ فہرست میں یہ ایک لمبی بار کی صورت نمایاں ہوتا ہے، اسے مناسب جگہ سے فل اسٹاپ لگا کر دو واضح جملوں میں تقسیم کریں۔

Accuracy and Limits of the Analyzer

The result is deterministic. The same text always returns the same list. The tool measures length only. It does not judge quality, and it does not change your text.

Good to know: the split relies on end punctuation. A decimal point or an abbreviation that uses a full stop can affect where sentences divide, and text with few end marks may show fewer, longer sentences. The long mark is a guide based on the average, not a fixed rule.

Privacy and Data Processing

The analyzer runs fully in your browser with standard web technology. Your text is not uploaded, not stored, and not sent to any analytics service. When you close or refresh the page, the text is gone. This makes it safe for private drafts and unpublished work.
