This Urdu text editor is a full writing studio in your browser. It opens right to left, uses a Nastaliq font, and keeps your letters joined the way Urdu should look. You do not need to install software or set up your keyboard first.
You can type Urdu three ways: with your own keyboard, with the built in on screen keyboard, or with phonetic mode where English letters turn into Urdu. You can also speak with voice input. When you are done, copy the text, download it as a file, save it as an image, or print it to PDF. An optional AI writer can improve or continue your text using your own free key.

How to write Urdu in the editor
- Click inside the writing box. It already faces right to left for Urdu.
- Pick how you type: your own keyboard, the on screen Keyboard button, phonetic mode, or the voice button.
- Select any text, then use the toolbar to set style, font, size, color, or alignment.
- Watch the counters below to track words, characters, and reading time.
- Save your work: Copy, download as file, export an image, or print to PDF.
Your work is saved in your browser as you type, so a refresh will not lose it. Use Clear saved text for a fresh start.
Typing Urdu with the keyboard and phonetic mode
You have three easy ways to enter Urdu even if your device is set to English.

Using the AI writer safely
The AI writer can improve, continue, fix, or translate your text. It runs on Google Gemini and needs your own key, which has a free tier.
Your key is stored only in your own browser and is sent straight from your browser to Google. It never touches UrduKhaber servers. You can remove it any time by clearing your browser data. If you do not add a key, every other feature still works.
AI output can be wrong, so read it before you use it. Do not paste private or sensitive text into any AI tool.
Saving, exporting, and sharing Urdu text

What this Urdu editor does not do
- Built in checks do not cover full Urdu spelling and grammar. For that, use a dedicated Urdu grammar checker.
- Phonetic mode is a typing helper, not a perfect Roman Urdu translator.
- It does not do full page layout like a word processor.
- The AI writer needs your own key and an internet connection.
- Voice input and some exports depend on your browser and device support.
Common mistakes when writing Urdu online
- Wrong direction. If English or numbers jump sides, use the Direction button on that line.
- Missing Nastaliq. Flat looking text means no Nastaliq font is installed. Install one or keep Naskh.
- Messy pasted text. Use Clean text to strip hidden characters, then Clear formatting.
- Trusting AI blindly. Always read AI output before you use it.

Your text is saved only in your own browser. It is never uploaded to a server, except any text you choose to send to the AI writer.
Can I save my Urdu text as a PDF or image?
Yes. Use PDF / Print and choose Save as PDF, or use Image to export a PNG for social media.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The editor, keyboard, and toolbar are built to work on small touch screens.
Can I write both Urdu and English together?
