This advanced AI-powered search bar functionality, first seen in the WhatsApp beta update for Android 2.24.7.14, enables users to utilize a search engine within the app to pose questions.

Currently being tested in specific regions like India and Africa, this feature is anticipated to be released globally in the near future.

Moreover, Meta is exploring the incorporation of this AI technology into the Instagram search bar. This new capability allows users not only to search for content but also to engage in conversations with the AI.

For example, users can type “pretty blue skies” into Instagram’s search bar, and the platform will display all relevant reels and pictures, enhancing content discovery, as highlighted by Tech Crunch.
