How to Format Cheque Text

1. Type your amount. Enter rupees, and paisa after a decimal point if any.

4. Copy or download. Copy the text, or save it as a file.

The Word Sirf on a Cheque

On an Urdu cheque, the amount in words begins with صرف, which means only. It fixes the amount so nothing can be added after it. The formatter places صرف at the start and روپے at the end, with any paisa in between.

The Figures Format

The figures use the South Asian grouping so a large amount is easy to read, and the paisa is shown after a slash, in the way many cheques are written, such as Rs. 12,34,567/50. You can turn the slash off to use a decimal point instead.

Adding the English Wording

Some cheques carry the amount in English as well. When the English option is on, the formatter adds the English wording in the banking style, ending with Only, so you have both languages ready.
