What the PKR Cheque Amount Generator Does

The PKR Cheque Amount Generator prepares an amount for a cheque. A cheque needs the amount twice: once in figures and once in words, ending with the word Only for safety. This tool produces both, in the standard Pakistani format, so you can copy them straight onto the cheque.

It can also add the Urdu wording, which some cheques and forms use alongside the English.

Everything runs on your own device. Your amount is never uploaded or stored, so it stays private while you prepare the cheque.

How to Generate a Cheque Amount

1. Type your amount. Enter rupees, and paisa after a decimal point if any.
2. Read the figures and words. Both appear in the standard cheque format.
3. Choose the style. Use a slash for paisa, add the Urdu wording, or switch grouping.
4. Copy or download. Copy the wording, or save it as a text file.

The Figures Format

The figures use the South Asian grouping, so a large amount is easy to read, and the paisa is shown after a slash, in the way many cheques are written, such as Rs. 12,34,567/50. You can turn the slash off to use a decimal point instead.

The Words and the Word Only

The words follow the safe banking format: the word Rupees, then the amount in words, then any paisa, then the word Only. The word Only at the end is important, because it stops anyone adding to the amount after it is written.

Adding the Urdu Wording

Some cheques and forms carry the amount in Urdu as well. When the Urdu option is on, the tool adds the Urdu wording using the lakh and crore system, so you have both languages ready.
