What the Urdu Invoice Generator Does

The Urdu Invoice Generator builds a clean, correct invoice from a list of items. An invoice has to add up exactly, and doing the sums by hand invites small mistakes that cost money or trust. This tool does the arithmetic for you and lays the result out in a proper Urdu invoice.

You enter each item with its quantity and rate, and the tool works out every line, the subtotal, any tax, and the grand total, and shows them in a neat table with the seller, the buyer, the number, and the date. A plain-text version is ready to copy or print.

Everything runs on your own device. Your figures are never uploaded or stored, so they stay private while you work.

How to Build an Invoice

1. Name the parties. Enter who the invoice is from and who it is for.
2. Add the items. Write one item per line as description, quantity, and rate.
3. Set the tax. Add a tax rate if your invoice needs one, or leave it at zero.
4. Copy or print. Copy the finished invoice, or print this page.

Entering Line Items

Each item goes on its own line, written as three parts separated by a bar: the description, the quantity, and the rate for one unit. The description can be in Urdu or English and can hold spaces; the quantity and rate are numbers. The tool reads every line, multiplies the quantity by the rate to get that line’s amount, and adds a row to the invoice. You can list as many items as you need, one per line, and change them freely as the totals update at once.

How the Totals Work

The tool adds up the invoice in the ordinary way. For each item it multiplies the quantity by the rate to get the line amount. It adds all the line amounts to get the subtotal, applies any tax to that subtotal, and adds the tax to reach the grand total. Every figure is shown, so you can check the working, and the grand total is also written out in words, which is the customary way to make the amount on an invoice unambiguous.

Adding Tax

Where a sales tax or a service tax applies, enter the rate as a percentage and the tool works out the tax on the subtotal and adds it to the total. Leave the rate at zero for an invoice with no tax, and the tax line simply does not appear. The rate you enter is applied to the whole subtotal, which suits a single tax rate across the invoice; if different items carry different rates, prepare a separate invoice or adjust the figures to match your rule.

The Three Invoice Types

The generator offers three common types. A sales invoice bills for goods that have been sold. A service invoice bills for work or services provided. A proforma invoice is a preliminary bill, sent before a sale is final, to quote the amount a buyer will owe. The arithmetic is the same for all three; the type sets the title so the document is labelled correctly for its purpose.

Accuracy and Limits

The tool does exact arithmetic on the figures you enter, so the totals are correct for what you type. It applies one tax rate to the whole subtotal and rounds amounts to whole rupees for a clean invoice; where you need a different rounding or per-item tax, adjust the figures to match your rule. The amount in words follows the standard South Asian system used in Urdu.
